ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tom Perski is Founder and Executive Director of Macular Degeneration International of Tucson, AZ.  He is a nationally known speaker and leader in the field of low vision in the U.S.

Tom also has macular degeneration himself, which began for him at 19 years old - he had to stop driving a car at age 27. He later went back to college and graduate school using low vision technology to finish his studies.

His background in family counseling has helped many patients and families make the most of a vision loss.
