My daughter is 11 with stargardts. Her ophthalmologist told us she has a lazy eye which is causing her to only see with one eye. We talked to a friend who is an optometrist and she was concerned that my daughter had adjusted to seeing this way and would have figure out how to see around her blind spots all over again. She wants me to be totally sure the surgery is necessary. I feel like she needs the surgery but I want to be as informed as I can. Has anyone been through this or have any advice?
