I am a thirty year old software engineer with stargardts.I tried to find statistics done on stargardts on the internet and from other sources but couldn't find that many. Only one in a thousand people have stargardts. So for the big pharmaceutical companies it is probably not commercially viable to spend a lot of money in research. I think we should develop our own strategy to gather some statistics and make it available on the internet. I mean things like blood type, parents blood type, any other disease, foods you don't like "Onions may be". Gatheer as much info as possible and try to find if there is a pattern or similarity. It could be helpful for the Doctors who are currently involved in finding a cure for this disease. If there is anybody who likes this idea and who would like to participate in any way please email me at nurlign@yahoo.com and if I get enough response I will try to design a way to collect the information and also if anybody wants to suggest what should be collected as a statistics that would be great too.
