Kevin, Thank you so much for your message. It was very encouraging and I still refer back to it every once in awhile so i don't forget. I had my appointment yesterday with the low vision specialist and my husband and I came home with more information and hope than we've ever gotten from any other doctor. I am so glad I went. The doctor was not only concerned about the physical aspects of my disease, but she was also very compassionate towards the emotional part of it. She spent almost two hours with us! The bioptic lenses are a little intimidating, but it seems that with time, I can figure it out. I am interested in pursuing teaching early childhood when my young children are in school, and your message was very encouraging, to see how much you've been able to do. Thank you and God bless you.
