Hi there ! Our son has Stargardt's disease. We live in Indianapolis. I totally disagree with you seeing Paul Bither. He is only a low vision specialist deals with low vision equiptment, glasses, bioptics etc. While he is very good, he is best with senior citizens. If only a low vision specialist is what you are looking for then I would recommend Dr. Richard Windsor. He has several offices in central and northern Indiana. He is much better with younger eye patients and very active both professionally and politically with low vision issues. He can be reached at 765-348-2020. If a specialized optomologist is what you are looking for, I would recommend that you see Dr. Forrest Ellis of the Midwest Eye Institute. He is very familiar with these retinal diseases. He can be reached at 817-1000. Second recommendation would be Dr. Fishman of the University of Ill. 312-996-8938 He is close to you in Chicago. He is well published and has been studying retinal diseases for years. Hope this helps, Colette
