Hi, Everyone... Can anyone direct me to a knowledgeable retinal specialist somewhere within a couple of hundred miles of Northern Indiana? I suffer from Best's disease, and have a significant central blind spot in my right eye and a smaller, offset one in the left. And while I can still get around okay, I'd like to chart the course of my disease and discuss possible treatments with someone who knows what diseases of the macula are all about . I recently visited my opthalmologist, and was disturbed to discover that I was more familiar with my condition than he was, and he had no answers to any of my questions about things like nutritional supplements or micro-current stimulation. By the way, I am a 27-year-old journalist, and have had symptoms of the disease for about 10 years. ANy help you can give me in my search would be appreciated. Also, I would like to hear from anyone who has used micro-current stimulation on dry-type macular degeneration. Thanks for any help!
